Kinda deciding between these two shows when it comes to comedy animation. Which is better overall? I’ve heard Velma is a standard adult comedy which is always bound to be funny but bocchi kinda has that medium blending going on that I really appreciate in modern animation (huge courage the cowardly dog, chowder and gumball fan for that specific reason).

Which should I check out first?

Velma was the worst 15 minutes of tv I’ve ever seen before turning it off

  1. Do you like anime? If so, watch Bocchi.

  2. Do you have a brain? If so, watch Bocchi.

I am being intentionally a bit harsh with that second comment, but seriously, Velma is a terrible show.

I mean I know Velma has gotten a lot of hate lately, but I always thought it was the anti woke crowd up to their shenanigans again, not that it was genuinely terrible

There may have been complaints that Velma showed that the woke crowd was up to their shenanigans again, but there were plenty that provided legitimate criticism.

Since you seem to be woke, why not watch Velma and decide for yourself?

Funny is in the eye of the beholder, but writing and production wise Bocchi is just a better show, period.
