Currently watching Friday Night Lights and noticed a slight dip in quality in Season 4 but I can feel a good build up for Season 5. It got me thinking about my favorite seasons for different shows

Season 1 - Friday Night Lights

Season 2- The Office

Season 3- Snowfall

Season 4- Breaking Bad

Season 5- Smallville

The Wire- Season 2. Still my all time favourite season of any show ever.

For me Season 2 really showed you who the main character in The Wire was: The city of Baltimore. It expanded the universe and showed you what happens to a city in decay. It also showed you the plight of the blue collar worker perfectly. Also one of the most crucial characters in The Wire was introduced: The Greek

Prison Break Season 1 was pretty incredible in comparison to the rest of the seasons.

I also found Homeland Season 1 to be a tier above the rest of the seasons.

MASH season 4.

This season was like the apex between the earlier seasons, with their strong comedic writing, and the later dramedy-heavy, often experimental stories (my preferred era, but both had their strong suits). So many classic episodes in this season. And while it does have one of the more divisive episodes ("Hawkeye"), it's actually one that I do enjoy for what it is. Not a favorite, but doesn't diminish the season for me like it might for some people.

Season 2 of Community is great. It had found its footing by having a full season already in the bag, but hadn't phased into the complete goofiness that it adopted in season 3. Love the entire show overall, but that was definitely its golden season.
