It looks like you're the only one saying "it's not good enough" lol

You asked a question and are now being snarky at getting an answer you don't like? So you weren't actually trying to have a conversation, you just wanted a circle jerk?

That is the summary of HotD discussions. There is a toxic echo chamber and they are getting triggered when people righfully critice the show.

No. I’ll agree. It’s a good show, but it’s not going to win an Emmy.

Every_Repair973 t1_iud0ytp wrote

So what show gonna win if it's not hotd? Lol.

Couldn’t tell ya. Succession? Emmy’s usually choose a safe pick.

Succession s4 will be nominated for the 2023 emmys i think. Not this year

They arent the only one who says that. I agree that it isnt good enough to win. It was fine but nothing special. Last season of Better Call Saul is far better than HotD. Also if Crown's new season is good as much as previous ones which were far better than HotD too then Crown would probably win it.

Succession won last year(bcs was nominated),so no way bcs will win this year.

Second part of BSC is better also it is the final of the show and it didnt win any emmy so far so this would be their last chance which is why they have a shot.

Succession won last year when only succession and bcs deserve the award. And this year with the crown, rop, succession, hotd,(mybe the last of us),it's impossible.

I thought the second part was disappointing to be honest, but I still hope it wins.

Depends if you just hang out in echo chambers. It's certainly not up to the standards of game of thrones. It's been pretty boring, the scenes are drab and grey and in uninteresting locations, the writing is mediocre and forced, the story and pacing are slow and not very interesting.

It's had some bright points, but it's had entire episodes that weren't even worth watching. I can't actually be bothered to watch the last episode because I'm so uninvested in it.

Like I said, 6.5. Not awful, but not great. Just a show that exists. Better than rings of power, worse than Andor.

By the way, metacritic:

https://www.metacritic.com/tv/house-of-the-dragon/season-1

Critic reviews 69%

User reviews only 4.9 out of 10.

Metacritic is pooling 500 users

House of the Dragon pools 230,000 users

Also critics are generally a lot snobbier about fantasy

You´re describing Andor.

I enjoyed Andor more so far. I would give Andor 7.5 out of 10, HOTD 6.5 and RoP maybe 4.5.

I'm hoping The Peripheral delivers, although it's a bit of a mixed bag too so far.

I haven´t enjoyed Andor at all, dropped it after 5 episodes. The characters are cliche, uninteresting and boring. Not invested in any of them. The dialogue is bland without any personality, style or flair and filled repetition. Its not funny, clever or charming when it tries to be. The storylines are trite that have been done much better before. And RoP is like 2-3, one of the worst written shows I´ve ever watched.

I believe that dubious honour goes to The Wheel of Time.

Thats a tough one, both terrible. Not the LotR comparison Jordan wanted when he rewrote Tolkien´s work as Eye of the World.
