Most shows I've watched which were longer than one season eventually dipped in quality, ran out of story, overstayed their welcome, had weak endings, or all of the above. Some of my favorite shows that I loved at the beginning and then stopped caring about because they went on for too long include:
House, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, ER, Killing Eve, The X-Files, The Simpsons, Prison Break, etc
What are some shows that didn't go on for too long, maintained their quality throughout and ended well? The only example I can think of is The Leftovers and perhaps also The Wire, although I didn't like the last two season as much as the first ones. Give me some recommendations please.
