I struggled a bit with the early episodes. Felt like they were a weird mix of dull and confusing but I’m glad I stuck it out as the final few episodes were really good and absolutely tied things together in a pretty cool way. I’ll absolutely watch a second season if it gets one.
I really enjoyed this. I put it on Sunday morning knowing absolutely nothing about it. Saw it on Amazon Prime, saw it had Peter Capaldi in it, and I started watching it. I got sucked right the hell and breezed through the whole thing in one sitting. The performances are definitely the high point of the show, but I thought they did a really good job of delivering a mystery that was weird, spooky, and sci-fi-ish all at the same time. I wonder if the ending was hook for a second season or not.
I really liked the ending (albeit it relied on information only given in the final episode). Left me satisfied whilst also leaving the door open for a renewal. Too many "mystery box" tv series' end hoping they'll get renewed and leave you hanging.
I find it mildly funny that a series that Amazon spent a billion on couldn't keep up with a small budget, well written thriller.
I think it could have been paced better - most of the meat of the story is the very last episode.
They clearly are setting things up for a S2 which I also don't like; I think it would have been the type of show best as a miniseries and done kind of deal.
I really enjoyed this. I went into it thinking I’d watch one episode and I ended up staying up and watching the entire thing. Both leads were fantastic and the pacing was good, I didn’t find myself getting bored.
Off topic but I recently started watching Ted Lasso and I couldn’t place where I recognised the actor who played Jamie. Then it came to me, he was the husband in this show!

I thought it was great. Its a slow burn and a bit confusing at times, but the final episode really ties (mostly) everything together.
