This isn’t mean spirited at all but all my boomer relatives at thanksgiving were non stop recommending Yellowstone. It’s basically Cattle farmer game of thrones

That’s why it already has two spin-offs.

Three technically. 6666, 1883, and 1922.

Sidenote, I wish they would ditch the 4 numbers thing for spin-offs. It's cool but is going to get rel confusing if this continues.

Is 6666 set in the distant future?

No, but you'd think so given their naming scheme for spin-offs.

6666, Pronounced "four sixes" follows another ranch in the Yellowstone universe that specializes in training horses. It's also a real ranch IRL that the Showrunner, Taylor Sheridan recently acquired for $320million (he's doing pretty well financially lol).

I don't mean to make this about politics, but I think it's also notable that they went on to elect a well-known television personality to office, when they finally reached the peak of their power.

It's a generation of people born and raised in the shadow of Vietnam, America's first televised war and raised in the era of cable tv. Their whole lives revolved from the start to finish around televisions.
