Seconding that, and adding Happy Valley. Have you already seen Line of Duty?
So true, Happy Valley is amazing. Additionally Top of the Lake might also be interesting?
I watched the trailer and honestly I was slightly disappointed when the killer was revealed right there. Especially after watching Broadchurch (and Mare of Easttown) where they really kept the audiences guessing.
But I keep seeing this being recommend so I'm putting this on my list.
To be honest, it isn't really like Broadchurch or Easttown in that it is a mystery about who is the killer but more about a game of cat and mouse between killer and detective.
The Sinner
The Missing & Baptiste
I've watched The Sinner and The Missing. Will look into Baptiste. Thanks!
Btw this post is more appropriate for r/televisionsuggestions and r/ifyoulikeblank. Your post may be removed bc one of the rules is "No asking for a recommendation" except for the weekly recommendation thread.
Oh sorry missed that. Will head on over there. Thanks for letting me know.
On Big Little Lies, I've seen the first season but it was just okay for me so I haven't jumper to see the second season.
The Tunnel was pretty good, about a french/english combined investigation of a dead body in the channel tunnel (remake of a scandanavian show)
There are some other great British crime shows that are season long mysteries. Best one is Line of Duty, followed by Unforgotten.
Endeavour is episodic but amazing.
There's one called Shetland that isn't that great but it has one season, I think 3, that is so good. It's about a convicted murderer getting released from jail, going back to his small town and the cops trying to figure out if he's involved with a new crime. You can just watch that season as a standalone.
Ragdoll, The Devil's Hour, Manhunt, Line of Duty
Is Manhunt the one with the Unabomber? Or is this a different one?
Manhunt the UK one with Martin Clunes.
Did you watch True Detective? It's a really well produced/written show. Not sure I would say it's similar to Broadchurch, but if you like a crime drama series with dark undertones, this is well worth it.
Each season is a standalone story but personally I would skip Season 2.
