I enjoyed most of the Spider-Verse but that animation style felt like it was dropping a lot of frames. The first time I watched it I checked my internet connection and rebooted thinking my computer was the problem.

I read that the frame-rate was intended to drop at least in the beginning of the film.

The framerate was on purpose, its part of the animation style.

Both the hour-long episodes and the people involved make me confident that this is meant to be more than just another Fox animated comedy.
I'd love to see even more western animation studios move away from just making comedies, there is so much that can be done with animation beyond that
