Any of those 90s sitcoms that did an entire episode of just clips of previous episodes. Maybe that worked before binge watching was a thing but nowadays I just skip it.

They also did that for the last episode of "Leave It to Beaver" in 1963. Ward and June and the boys go through a family photo album recalling incidents from the boys' childhood. Not only was it boring, but it didn't make sense, because no one was on hand taking pictures when those incidents occurred.

It was typically because of budget overruns. Some episodes were more expensive than planned and to save money they would do a clip-show.

The best was the Clerks cartoon. It only lasted six episodes I think, and the 2nd episode was a clip show episode of basically only the first episode and random things that never happened

Community did something similar where they show clips the audience has never seen
