Charlie Cox is plastered all over the poster but per IMDB he's only in one episode. Is this accurate? Marking spoiler as this may be considered so.

IMDb needs time to update i haven't seen it yet but I'm sure he's the lead .
He's in every episode.
it's a common thing for new shows, IMDB only counts the first one before it airs. don't worry he'll be in all
I don't recommend this series. Its super infuriating. If you watch it, you'll think literally every character deserves to be completely destroyed. As much as I love a lot of the actors the characters they play, are beyond stupid and irrational.
Exactly! Idiotic series, and senseless story. Very much irrational.

Thank you
Thank you
Awww man...well, that sucks
The wife is legit crazy I’m on the second episode not sure if I want to continue. The stupid decision making by people we are supposed to believe are top of their craft is bonkers so far
He's in every episode
Did you finish it?
The characters overall are not bad, but the wife and the daughter are extremely infuriating to watch
Only watched the first episode, but yeah, the writing is incredibly bad so far. The characters' actions are really questionable. Makes the MI5 counterparts in Slow Horses seem extremely professional in comparison and they're supposed to be fuckups. The "x amount of time earlier" flashback thing in the beginning already had me rolling my eyes. It's so overused.
Don’t. I’m up to episode three and they are seriously so fucking dumb and the wife just gets worse.
I can’t believe the level of stupidity in this show.
Agreed.
There is not a single moment in this show so far where I’ve found the actions of these people to be at all logical or the actions of someone in their position.
It’s complete utter nonsense where every character literally has to have brain trauma to explain the actions they are doing.
Not to mention there really isn’t a single likeable character in this show so far at all.
Errghh it gets worse...
I finished it. It's pretty bad. Disappointed by it all. Won't spoil anything, but it doesn't get any better as far as quality.
I literally came to Reddit to see if people thought the same thing. How can the wife of an MI6 agent and she herself being a relatively high ranked military be so infuriatingly naive. Ifelt asleep and woke up in ep4.
I stopped after the second and put on Vikings. The wife was so stupid I couldn’t get over it and the cia lady literally came to the house. Not considering the bad accents but even the decisions the new director was making was ridiculous as if he’s still a field agent moving solo while you have one of the deepest intel agencies in the world.
I put on Vikings and enjoyed it far more lol
Good call. It got slightly better with some ok fast paced action, but I might only like this because people stopped talking and so the stupidity of it all wasn’t as noticeable.
His Russian ex connect leaves the books by that guys hosptial bed as a cryptic message to meet her as they should be talking off grid. Then they proceed to talk to each other on the phone for the entire series afterward. This annoyed the hell out of me. Why didnt you just call him to begin with? Amazes me how much these characters are just openly blabbing about state secrets over the phone constantly.
I had that exact feeling after the first episode and quit watching it. So many nonsensical things going on, this could end well.
Agree. Love Charlie in DD, but this show is unwatchable. It is written by someone with only the barest knowledge of human interactions and with zero clue as to how security services function. It's unintended funny.
Took me a while in 1st ep to stop not noticing Charlie's eyes NOT moving around/un focused
I mean they have a scene in first episode where the daughter loses phone signal... while being in the city... on the small bridge... Even trash horrors don't have this anymore.
It was implied the CIA was using something block her phone signal
She’s like “why doesn’t he tell me things and he’s saying names of people I’ve never heard of so he must be cheating on me or something”….uhhhhh maybe your husband is the head of MI6 you dumb c*nt
Wait til you see Jack Ryan S03.

Yeah why is the wife of the top spy in Britain upset when her spy husband does spy shit.
He's in every episode, it's a fun watch honestly. Don't stress about it too much like others are here and you'll enjoy it.
It's fun watching Charlie's Daredevil acting pop up where his eyes don't focus on who he's speaking with. The wife is annoying and some things were very obvious even though they were set up as twists, there was 1 twist I didn't expect though. A 6.5/10, enjoyed it but wouldn't watch it again. I'd rather rewatch Daredevil.
I liked it and would recommend but I agree his wife is a complete fucking idiot.
"oh my husband had a private phone call let me commit treason by recording a phone call made by the chief of the country's secret service and send to a foreign intelligence agency"
"I had to give the file to get [our daughter] back"
"But you committed treason!"
I liked Adam, but you know...
The daughter is so fucking stupid. "Oh I don't like having a security guard pick me up from school so I'm going to sneak out and walk in some completely deserted area the day my father is promoted to MI6 chief"
I didn't think it was bad, but I hated the wife and hated that they >!killed off Adam.!<
My god the wife was a fucking idiot. "My husband, now the chief of the country's secret service, had a private phone call, so he must be cheating. Let me record his calls, follow him and record private meetings he has and send these to a foreign intelligence agency. I'll also let this agent into our home where they can place bugs, and I will plant a tracker in his wallet for this agency to follow him. I'll answer this agent's invasive questions, even when I find out they were lying to me about why they were here. I'll even answer this agent's invasive questions after I find out they were the one to kidnap my daughter. I'll disobey my husband's requests to get the single copy of evidence that will clear his name to safety, and I'll even offer it up to the agent who has been out to get him for years. I'll even run screaming at this agent as they >!have a gun to my husband's head !<because nothing bad will come of that."
Fucking idiot.
CIA? You mean SVR? The ones who kidnapped the daughter but had no weapons while holding her so they were overpowered, after they managed to kidnap her, daughter of now person in charge of Mi6, in broad daylight by jamming her signal in movement whole Mi6 couldn't find her even though they had people protecting her, but she slipped in the back?
I mean are these secret agencies very smart and resourceful or very dumb and limited. It cannot be both scene to scene.
There is a lot of implications you have to make if you want to enjoy this series, sadly.
EDIT: it was CIA indeed as shown in episode 3 and I stopped at episode 2, which makes this even more ridiculous hahaha
The most annoying person was the wife of the MI6 chief. That woman just showed Adam the cache of secret files in the house with zero resistance...like she's been waiting all this while to offer it all up.
My thoughts, exactly. The wife is actually crazy. There's no way her moods or decisions can be connected to logic or reality in any way, and she's SO unlikeable. It's not worth it to continue for us haha
LMAO It's absolutely infuriating. I'm honestly insulted by the writing on most shows these days. We have too many film-quality productions destroyed by pathetic writing. You can have a masterpiece with just excellent writing and acting that does it justice, even if production values are low. But there's no redeeming terrible writing. We dropped it after two episodes
I thought the wife would get worse. Thank you for confirming my drop after episode two!
Yeesss. I thought I was being mind f****d. She can't be for real...
The fact the wife of an M16 deputy (a wife who formerly was in the military nonetheless) honestly thinks he should be telling her everything about his work and his assets is too idiotic to believe. Let alone she feel she should follow her husband while he is out doing his job. This show stretches far to much.
Yeah - there are a few scenes where she seems to act like she literally has no idea at all that her dad is a senior MI6 deputy. Like she she is brain dead.
Maybe I am dense, but clearly the writers want us to feel like Charlie is doing something bad. I am sure is their intent. But I find nothing wrong with him. He is just doing his job - bending a few rules but thats it.
EVERY OTHER CHARACTER - is brain dead or stupid. Like his wife think her husband needs to tell her about his top secret job in every scene??? And the CIA is running some half assed operation spying on the head of MI6? Just chilling with his wife in vans outside????
Yeah - and goes so far as to actually spy on his top secret calls, and tail him in a van with a foreign spy agency (the CIA)???? Like…what???
Thank you all for the opinions. I’m two episodes in and I would have immediately stopped watching if it weren’t for Charlie Cox. But it’s awful in every way. The decisions are rash and just flat out bizarre by people who are supposedly top level spies.
Think I’m out at 2…this is very bad - who wrote this garbage?
It gets slightly better as it shifts to slightly more action paced but honestly my brain was switched off for the most part by episode 3.
I only finished it because I did want to see how stupid the whole thing got.
Lol this - this exactly - and like immediately resorts to spying on him and telling the CIA everything? Nobody is that dumb - nobody
If they dropped the whole paranoid wife routine about an affair or being complicit in the kidnapping g or whatever and just had the COA approach her and flip her as an asset with the same logic that they used in the show it would have been way more convincing.
I dropped it after episode 2 to start season 3 of Jack Ryan. At least that spy show treats stupid spy shit like it is.
Switching to Witcher Blood Origin - not switching back
lol. that's the best part. an oscar winning writer did.
proving once again the old 'a character is only ever as smart as the person writing it' dogma.
It would be one thing if she did not know what he does but she is fully aware of what he does and the fact that there is an ongoing intelligence operation. Her entire plotline could end with him saying "She's an asset that is being worked with potential information regarding the assassination attempt on my boss"
The teenage daughter became unbearable within the first five minutes of screen time.
OMG.... the wife. Seriously don't understand the character at all. A walking security risk, an idiot.
Yes, if she didn't know what he did, or that her friend was CIA.... that would have made much more sense. But she was a military officer and knows her husband's interim Control. It's completely ridiculous.
I mean look at the mother.
I mean almost the entire M16 machine is looking for her daughter, but no..... she's got to do it herself, so bring in the random CIA friend.
I stopped watching because the wife was too fucking stupid. The plot was also stupid, everything is dumb
I'm 2 mins in and already annoyed that sombody from MI6 would go into a school for a careers day
Sometimes with Netflix originals you can tell that every scene is only there to allow the characters to say a specific thing and there's no immersion.
Like in this they will pile everyone into a meeting room for a very short conversation and then send them all back, but but the characters are sat as through they've been there far hours and it breaks the immersion
I feel insulted just watching this show!
haha yikes - but looks like it was also co-written by the Coen Brothers
Not to mention, guy in the hospital thought they were from Cox. So Cox takes a pic of the books and walks away? I usually give a show a few episodes if they are a slow starter. This is a non starter.
ya, makes you wonder how in the hell he got to be the part of that trio in the first place, considering the quality of his solo material.
CIA is the one that kidnaps the daughter
This a troll sub lol he is in every episode and the main character ha
Jeez. I’m so relieved to hear other feel the same way about the absurdity of this show. I though I was loosing my mind.
Also it seems to have been given the woke treatment where the male antagonist can't be allowed to be a hero.
The idiot wife becomes the hero of the story. I kid you not.
Holy shit this show is so dumb
This show is so bad

I thought it was hilarious when the MI6 agents approach the small boat the Russian agent is hiding on, and she easily escapes them because they didn’t notice there was more than one way off the boat? A whole group of agents can’t cover one small boat? This show makes MI6 look super incompetent.
I’d rather just watch Slow Horses, it’s more entertaining
almost ending first episode and I am so pissed at the wife, your husband is essentially at the top of your country's intelligence, but one of your best friend that you share secrets with is working for the CIA, and you conducted intel gathering against your husband, using your friend's tech? how is that not stupid?
also, how come Adam has to tell his wife he is doing a dead drop? it's his work, and not telling people things for their safety is also part of the work, don't you know?
feels like the show's writers watched a lot of shows but have no idea how real espionage works (not that I know it), but still tries to show as if they know a lot about it.
Yeah and then came to the rescue of the chief. Why help him voluntarily then?
Yeah and then came to the rescue of the chief. Why help him voluntarily then?
That was gold, for a moment I thought that they are showing them finally being competent since they found her on a boat, and there it went...
So bad. Just don’t start, once you start you’ll feel obligated to finish because there are not very many episodes and it has a good cast. Just keeps getting worse as the “story” progresses
Halfway through ep1 and came here to see if it’s worth continuing. What an incredibly bland piece of tv.
Definitely don’t continue watching it. I watched it all and it just gets worse and worse.
Anyone else notice that everyone escapes through the back door? MI6, CIA, paparazzi - none of them think about covering the back door. It’s crazy.
The best thing that came out of this fucking hellfire of a shit show was how soulful Charlie Cox's beautiful eyes are in every frame he's in
It’s akin to ghost hunters getting all scared when “finding” ghosts on those reality shows- the writing is shit.
I should have came here before starting this show. All sorts of amateurish issues for leaders of a spy agency.

no fr, i was so mad. i had to come to reddit to see if i was the only one feeling this way
Whats wrong with people’s wives in this series?? They deserve jail time. And thinking the Cs are so god damn stupid makes me fear for the world
The wife, who is a captain in the army and a physiotherapist, is literally the dumbest character I can remember other than people playing actual village idiot types. She thinks her husband is keeping secrets? No shit, he is a spy! That is literally his job! And then she jumps from “he is keeping secrets so I will turn him over the CIA” faster than I figure out what to eat for lunch,
