Over the last year or so I have noticed this quite significantly.

The latest example would be the trailer for Mayor Of Kingstown Season 2. Over 7 million views in 6 days but only 900 likes and 50 comments? This just doesn't make sense at all.

Apple TV is notorious for this, with their big trailers seemingly having millions of views with barely any likes and comments turned off.

Idk, it just always seems like an off number that doesn't reflect the actual level of interest in the show across other social medias.

Either botting or just paying YouTube directly for increased traffic or inflated numbers. Also they advertise on other sites with clickbait to the video

Ad views count as normal views so if the company pays to have the trailer run as an Ad every time the Ad is viewed it'll count towards the views.

Trailers and similar content are some of the more popular things to embed into other sites and places where you wouldn't necessarily have access to comments or thumbs up/down.
