yeah i used watch that, def a precoursor to the wire. only that it doesnt really show things from the 'criminals' point of view as well and their lives...law and order was like that too

HBO's The Corner also has a feeling of The Wire as well, as that miniseries tackles the drug problem in Baltimore in the 90s and earlier years.
