She executive produced (basically just attaching her name to it) and played a bit part. She had zero involvement in writing or actual production which was why the show was so bad

Executive Producing in tv is much different than film. Executive Producers in tv are often heavily involved in the creative process, and therefore, get paid for every episode produced.
