If you don't like a show for creative reasons then sure, but once you go on about how white people are oppressed and start spewing your Stormfront shit about "forced diversity" like the elderly white executives in Hollywood have a hard on for destroying the white race then just stfu. It's stupid and you know it.

Find a new hobby other than false outrage of your own kind.

Any movie or show reboot or remake that has a woman or minority take the role previously played by a white male is viewed as woke and an attack on white men by right wing incel types. Even original content, often gets labeled as “woke” if the antagonist is a white man or the protagonist is a minority.

It’s not as common on this sub, but go to right wing subs. 4chan, Fox News, moviechat.org for right wingers bitching about movies/tv and linking them to “wokeness” “the great replacement” conspiracy theories.

It largely ignores that these media conglomerates are still run largely by white men, it’s just the content creators and the free market have responded to telling stories about women, POC and the LGBT community.

Your mistake is going in 4ch. Most of the people on those boards aren't even serious and just trolling edgelords 99% of the time

No, I’m not complaining about wokeness or minorities. I’m not complaining about right wingers or white men either. I’m stating facts about about what the OP is referring to.

Literally, I have not seen this response in any widespread manner for Velma. I think you're looking to drum up the exact outrage you seem to be condemning. You've been conditioned to 'fight the racism' as much as the other side has been to give it.

Is that happening on this subreddit? You might be hanging out in the wrong places if you are noticing people saying stuff like that

It's happening all the time recently, people keep posting articles about Velma here meant to fuel rage bait with young white males who let's say "lean to the right"

They're gaslighting you like that wasn't 90% of the discourse about the show before it came out lmao

And the only reason people continue to harp on how terrible the show came out is because they can pull some "I told you so" shit. There are so many bad shows that don't get this much press on this sub

Because manbabies are mad about how it besmirches the holy name of Scooby Doo.

To be fair, it certainly isn't good, but all the online hate is doing nothing but drawing more attention to it. If it gets renewed, I'm blaming the haters for not shutting up about it.

There’s a fake battle that only exists online between right wing nut jobs and woke idiots. What people say on the internet does not matter. It’s doesn’t even represent most people. Don’t read it if it upsets you. This is a life skill a lot of people need to learn. Stop reading shit on the internet and extrapolating those people’s views to mean “everyone thinks this”.

These people aren't even against Velma because of the race swapping, half the haters are leftists who are supposed to be on the other side politically, so it makes no sense. They're just hating it because social media talking about Velma has some sort of energy they want to engage in on a social level, this is the drug. This is why redpilled and based are different things, redpill is just about spouting right wing views, but a based person came to those views for the right reasons such as asking whether it adds up logically and not just because they heard someone else saying them or being right wing and anti-establishment seems cool.

the fact that this series is the talk of the town now is pretty wack. like, when tf did we start to care about Scooby-Doo and its characters? i swear there have been a Scooby-Doo project on almost every year for the past like... 3 decades, and not one got this much attention.

When did previous iterations of this show have brown and black people being overtly racist against White people?
