I came here to mention Early edition ! Ya beat me to it. There were a lot of 1 or 2 season sci Fi type shows in the late 90's that have kinda faded into obscurity. Andromeda, Dark Angel, Earth, final conflict to name a few

The first season of Andromeda is so good. The season finale was insane. It slowly faded into being the kevin Sorbo show though and the last few seasons are unwatchable.
