IIRC even the original creators of Ghost Stories admitted the original show was shit. One was an obscure anime and the other is fucking Scooby-Doo. Also Ghost Stories was actually funny.

Idk but I hope they introduce Jar Jar Binks as a new character in Velma season 2, it would be a great addition. Maybe they could make him an ultra woke gay heroin addict with a rainbow mullet who longboards everywhere and goes by pronouns we've never heard of, man that'd be sick.

I honestly think that if the Velma show had the exact same script but used classic designs (aside from possibly being made to a look a bit younger so high school makes sense) and used the regular voice actors, it would come across more like a parody rather than a different show that's Scooby-Doo in name only and would be getting somewhat better reception.

I don't think the reception really has much to do with scooby doo. It is pretty transparent culture war bullshit. It happens a few times a year on here.
No one cared the other 80 times scooby doo got rebooted

Oh god… yourbudteven actually had to change the rules for the second video fun fact because of how insane they were and because one of the creators of the dub had commented saying that if they were to continue with the original rules then they’d die of alcohol poisoning by the second act.
