Hi reddit! Something incredibly funny happened last Friday and I thought you would all enjoy my mistake.

Short background, this happened last Friday but I had some issues posting <3 thank you mods for fixing that up for me. For those interested, I had been in charge of a gift being shipped to an online friend who lives in the same state as me. Loads of little inside jokes, one leading to todays mess up.

It is the Friday afternoon mad rush in the post office, the line is out the door and it took about half an hour to reach the front of the queue. Out of the 4 clerks the most elderly worker 65-70F calls next and I go over in order to process my parcel. There was a lot of empty space in my parcel so was about to ask for the plastic air bag things they have. In the mad rush before the weekend this lovely woman was doing her best to fly through customers and as I was about to warn her, she gently but firmly threw my parcel from one hand to the other to check the underside had also been filled out with return information. This of course led to the half pound of large shiny pink, purple and silver novelty d*ck confetti to come spilling out, all over the counter.

We stared at this mountain of confetti that just covered the counter for a solid couple seconds. Then looked at eachother, then both proceed to explode into a fit of laughter. This of course drew the attention of the youngest male clerk right next to her and his customer, who immediately saw what happened and also fell into a fit of laughter.

Luckily cause it was large confetti it was a pretty easy clean up! Enjoy the thing that I’ll be cringing about before I fall asleep in the years to come 😂

TL;DR if you’re going to use novelty confetti, make sure you seal your parcel before you take it to the post office other wise you might accidentally douse a poor elderly lady with d*cks like it’s her bachelorette night
