My supervisor in work said I needed to make more of an impact and get involved with the community. I thought I'd help moderate the community by making sure people got upvotes, or 'updoots' as I call them to my family and friends.

This would have been fine, but I thought I'd add some humour to the situation, giving them whimsical reasons as to why they can't post, with a simple blocking metric to help guide them towards updoot heaven. What criteria did I use you ask? Simple vowels, those useless letters no-one ever seems to use or care about.

Sadly my supervisor pointed out that this isn't funny, and people actually need vowels to communicate. Who knew??

Now everyone is mad.

TL;DR: Made a boo-boo in work blocking comments with 'aeiou' the critical building blocks of writing.
