I was reading a reddit post about actors who had done such amazing jobs that no one could replace them. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones came up and someone mentioned Sean Connery and then said "may he rest in peace". I didn't recall that he had died at all so I did an obligatory Google fact check and found out he passed in 2020. Assuring me that I probably had known before. However, since I did not remember it was like having to hear it for the first time.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm gonna be super- depressed all day, I didn't know the guy, but I did grow up on his movies (Bond... James Bond) so it did make me sad.

TL;DR I forgot Sean Connery was dead and had to go through the "awesome actor mini grieving process" all over again.

Edit: incorrectly put 2021 as his year of death. Correct date is October 31, 2020.

You should binge a few of his movies. The Great Train Robbery, Outland, The Untouchables (not the star, but it got him an Oscar)..

Don't worry, I do this all the time. I think I've learnt that John Hurt is dead like three times.

2020 was hard and lots of stuff got lost in our memories due to the pandemic overshadowing everything.
