To give some background, I am a 15 year old male from Fresno, Ohio and I have 2 dads and 1 mom. So I was on Grindr looking for someone to talk to and I added a guy named "Twinklover8" (I am 5'5 and 110 LBS) and we started chatting and eventually made a group chat on Snapchat with me and 2 other people (Who I learned to be my parents). We chatted for about 3 months and decided we were all gonna meet in person considering we all lived in Fresno. After we met me and my parents were in shock to see each other. We had sent so many inappropriate photos and we never knew. I cried on the spot and I knew I fucked up. I just sat there in silence... I didn't know what to say... It was shocking... I felt bad, I knew it was my fault, I knew I got myself here and there was no going back... This was it. I cried long and hard after we went home and I didn't know how to feel I just sat there sad, empty minded, and blank. I have nowhere else to talk about this so might as well post it here.

TL;DR: I met someone on Grindr and we met up and it ended up being my parents

I don’t think you have sole responsibility for the fuckup here. I’m assuming you lied about your age but on the other hand it’s your parents’ responsibility to educate you on online safety, the risks of sending inappropriate photos, using platforms meant for adults as a minor etc and it seems like whatever they did on that score was inadequate.

First off I didn’t think you could be on grindr unless you were 18+, but 15 and on grindr wtf kinda shit were you expecting, I’m in my late 30s and hate that app for the fucked up people I’ve met on there
