It may be an illogical reach. You're assuming so many things based on the missing car, for sale sign, etc - but it could just be that they were already planning to move out and that one of the cars was missing because they were already starting to move.

Guys who throw used condoms out of car windows probably own obnoxiously loud motorcycles, which when starting them up, will be disturbing the peace especially late at night, waking up the kids, etc.
