Does your oven not have a timer though? Seems like a bad idea to leave it on the "stay on" position in the first place. :/

My oven is quite literally older than me. It's one of those old Hotpoints from the 80s

Maybe time for a new oven instead. I got one of those countertop ovens instead cause the stovetop ones always break, I'm surprised your Hotpoint's even working still. They really don't make em like they used to.

And I know how annoying that update pop up is, used to have an A52 for a while.

It's not my call unfortunately. I'm leaving this apartment here soon and if they can't even fix an AC for 6 months or a moldy ceiling in 4 months then I dont have much hope that they'd update the appliances. My toilet is from 1988 and the chain literally corroded off.

"Not only is food so expensive right now...I'm giving this phone away to a family member."

Oh c'mon, wouldn't it be wiser to sell your phone to someone on eBay and as a bonus you can pocket some extra money during these trying times, than give this troublesome annoying phone to someone near & dear to you whose happiness you presumably care about?

I already have a new phone. This one isn't even activated and is a backup for emergencies, timers, emails, etc when my actual working phone is charging. Which it wasn't when this happened. I just couldn't find the thing.

If you're complaining about how much food costs, why would you give away a valuable phone? Sell it. Get money for that piece of shit.

Hey, you can find kitchen timers, starting at $4.99! It doesn't have software updates and just counts away to zero.

That way you can save $200 - 800 for actual food instead of the cost of a 5G, wifi6e, amoled screen android kitchen timer.

Not sure what soc this has but some exynos have a very bad vulnerability for volte. Samsung hasn't released the update, best to give Samsung phones away.

It's a white enameled Hotpoint built in 1988. You're not going to get much more out of it.
