This happened a few hours ago so it's still fresh.
My kid sleeps with his pampers on. He woke me up around 2 am saying he needs to go to the loo. When I helped him take his pants off I realized he had an insect bike, which was weird, so I took his pj's and gave them a good shake out the window.
Once he was finished, we returned to bed where in my infinite wisdom (instead of just throwing it away to get rid of potential insect) and without thinking.... I started shaking his Pampers. The fraking thing exploded in tiny pieces... That padding that is used to absorb went ALL OVER the floor and some on the wall. I can't understand how it disintegrated to that degree, but oh my god it was awful.
Lucky we have hard floors and no carpet yet.
TL:DR never ever shake a Pampers, it will explode in tiny plastic/paper pieces all over your room.

The padding is actually a fine powder (sodium polyacrylate) which absorbs crazy amounts of water. When wet it becomes a sort of snow-like powder, or if wet enough a gel.
