As the title describes it, TIFU by possibly giving myself a Yeast infection trying to get clean for a new partner.

I have been talking to this new beau for a few weeks now. They’re an awesome person and very much my type. I was really trying to get it on with them this weekend, BUT there was one thing in my way, my menstrual cycle. It was towards the end of it so I thought I could just warn them about the situation, and then clean myself really well with some good soap and let that be that(that was obviously not the case). I must’ve cleaned myself TOO well, and maybe left some soap in there on accident as I was trying to shave at the same time, because the next day I woke up in SEARING pain. TMI but my vulva and everything else my mother gave me felt like I had just slapped it onto a freshly oiled Sunday morning fried chicken skillet. The shower following did not compare to this, it was worse. As of today it’s been two days of tip-toeing around my home while I wait to see my doctor.

And no, I did not get my happy ending, they didn’t text back.

Update: yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis, I have learned my lesson the hard way y’all, and thank you to everyone who gave me advice on this. I pinky swear everyone and the lord I will NEVER do this again.

TL:DR My pussy lips are currently kissing the devil himself after trying to clean up for a hot date.

Look for a product called FemFresh, it's a soap specially for intimate areas and some can even be used as shaving gel.

For next time.

Tbh if your new crush was scared off simply because a little sculpting went wrong and they couldn't wait like a week, they don't sound very worth it.

DO NOT USE SOAP INSIDE EVER!!! ONLY BETWEEN THE LIPS!! (side note chamomile has the same ph levels try soaking in a tub with some dried chamomile in a little bag or a sock or something so you dont have to strain the water!)

Pls don’t use soap inside- that’s guarantee for a infection. You can clean the outside, but don’t go near the inside, the vagina is self cleaning- using soap messes it up

Girl, you’re supposed to clean the vulva not actually put the soap in your vajayjay. Google Lady Suite. They have all sorts of guides and information on vaginas, sexual health, and proper vagina care. They also sell products, and I believe they have a podcast.

Ouch I feel for you! Had a yeast infection in my underarms and coupled it with razor burn so it felt like I was on fire. Eventually took myself to the gp who prescribed some cream that sorted me out just in time for my wedding!
