Oh I guess you didn't read my comment. I think a no porn relationship rule sounds very 1995. That's the only opinion I've voiced in this thread. Have a nice day, crazy person.

This is an oversimplication, liberals rarely take issue with the whole of conservative ideas. Just like there are many liberal idea that conservative have accepted with open arms. (E.g. safer working conditions and workers comp) it is specific ideals and ideas of conservative that they have issue with. (Removal of health care, reducing contraceptives access).

To judge is just to see and assess, what I'm wondering why are you getting offended by a comment which had no negative connections. Like I saw the comment and though, huh yea I can see this being popular in 1995. And that's it. No different than seeing a old car and going yea I bet that was cutting edge when it was first made. No one is saying that because it was popular a bit ago, that makes it bad.

Apologize for forgetting about it. One drive keeps dates on the files. Show the date downloaded and explain. And don't lie about it. At all. Disrespecting someone regarding sexual behaviors is 100% not a good idea, so be honest and get rid of it.

I never understood why people “keep porn” especially gbs worth of it. Being young and horny is understandable and I’m not hating on anyone who does save it. Just why go through the trouble to save it all when you can just look it back up? Unless it’s some old school dvd shit.

17

MaccGawd t1_ixda98n wrote

So much of porn is pirated that a lot of it gets copyright claimed at some point. Some people don’t want to lose access to a really good video, so they download it. So I get it.

ThinkItDreamItDoIt t1_ixcuk82 wrote

Why do people make playlists for music? There's your answer.

Brlnn t1_ixcxj5x wrote

I understand but, having 2 terabytes of music seems a little less concerning than having 2 terabytes of porn saved. We all know porn can lead to many problems and having hundred of videos saved could indicate that that person may have a problem that needs to be addressed, no? That’s just my perspective on it

Eldhannas t1_ixd0xj2 wrote

It's very convenient to use Spotify or YouTube for all your music, until the artist decides to pull their albums off those services. Even more so for porn.

13

Brlnn t1_ixd10v5 wrote

That’s fair, never looked at it that way

Nothingtoseehere066 t1_ixeeb7u wrote

2 Terabytes is a bit large, but video takes up FAR more room than music. A good 7k video could be 15GB by itself. Especially if you get into VR porn. Then the file sized get even larger. Assuming normal though good quality videos take up a LOT of space.

1

ThinkItDreamItDoIt t1_ixd82sv wrote

I agree 2 Tb would be a troubling amount. A few gigs isn't crazy though, especially if it's high quality (which I'd assume it is considering it's worth saving). My wife probably has a few gigs saved and we barely ever watch porn.

Which brings up another point: especially when you have kids in the house, saving porn allows you to keep that browser history nice and clean haha.

Things like VR videos are 5 - 20gb per video.

2

MaccGawd t1_ixf7gag wrote

What VR video is a whole ass 20 GB? 😂 I saved one (moment of weakness) and it was like 1.8 GB, bro.

1

VideoGamesForU t1_ixgjkpy wrote

Check any JAV VR video up. Also at that size it's shit quality. We are talking about 7k or even 8k movies for western stuff and high bit rate 4k videos for JAV stuff. Check CzechVR for western videos for example.

MaccGawd t1_ixhhcou wrote

Bet! Imma check that out; I wanna see what premium VR looks like.

1

NostradaMart t1_ixd5379 wrote

convenience is the reason. you don't need internet to watch your downloaded stuff. also easier to hide thant always having to clear your browser history.

Public-Rutabaga4575 t1_ixexo3w wrote

Some people (not me nope not me) don't have access to the internet all the time. Some people (again totally not me) work jobs that are remote and if you wanna wank you may need to download beforehand so your not stuck staring at extra curvy trees.

Depending on how much you watched it, I can see some justification for why she'd ask you to reduce your consumption. But asking you to unfriend girls you don't know? That's pretty insecure and controlling on her behalf. Blowing up about one or two videos buried on your laptop that you didn't know where there is also rather unreasonable.

If there's other things she's also 'dictated' to you, then you're in an abusive relationship/dating someone with narcissistic tendencies, you just haven't noticed yet.
