To discover you were ace probably took a little bit of introspection/sexual curiosity even if it was never expressed through masturbation. Or who knows, maybe you tried it once to very quickly find out it wasn't for you.

The idea of anything sexual has always just been weird to me. It's hard to explain, but it's just how I've always felt, it doesn't sound appealing. I guess, in a way even thinking about it is curiousity though, so you are right about that.
