Irlen Syndrome, light filtration. I had a gray screen and it really does help. I now use gray reading glasses, it stops the letters from bouncing and the flashing of colours that I get from white paper. I try to buy older books as brilliant paper hurts my eyes, causes headaches and makes reading exhausting. I also am nauseous from reading red, yellow and orange paper, hated letters sent home from my son's primary school. They used these colours to make information stand out.

One of my nephews used tinted glasses back in the '80s to read. His reading level jumped three grades in four months.

Is there such a thing as verbal dyslexia? Like swapping letters in words when spoken unconsciously?
