ya, my gf can barley lift a 10 pin ball - let alone throw it down the lane.

7 pin - let's patent that!

You know they have different weight bowling balls? Also, having a bowling ball cut to your hand size makes a huge difference. People that struggle to control 14lb house balls may have no problem using a 26lb personal ball

Yes, but don't bowl much - just for fun with a few friends 1 or 2 twice a year. When we last went, there were no smaller - lighter 10 pin bowling balls in our lanes or nearby. We asked the staff and they just said to look for them. But we didn't want to take them from others that were already using them for their kids.

So we booked 5 pin! Everyone had fun!

Place I worked at had a bowling alley and the computer could be set to 9, 8 and 7 pin along with two other games like tic tac toe or something. I’d inquire at your local alley, it’s just a setting on the computer in my case. Good luck :)

TIL: This

It seems like if it a system has this option that a clever alley operator could exploit this to add games to bring in casuals to try other bowling games, and hard-core fans of the other versions. I might actually bowl or bowl longer if we could play more than one version of bowling.
