The courses are randomized at each competition, and the trainers (without their dogs) only see the layout beforehand on the same day. The fun thing is that there’s a sort of “pilot voice” most people put on when they’re flying a plane. My voice isn’t very high and it’s not deep, but there’s a noticeable difference when I make a radio call. Maybe it’s involuntary, but I can tell that my voice is slightly deeper and I draw out/shorten different syllables.
