Reply to comment by FlintWaterFilter in TIL that the redwood tree the Julia Butterfly Hill lived in for 2 years in the 1990’s was badly damaged by vandals in 2000 who cut almost halfway through the tree with a chainsaw. A bracing was made to keep the tree stable and it will likely survive. by triviafrenzy

Your so right. Someone needs to explain to me the "2 years".

She lived in that tree. For two years. Really.

Got famous. Wrote a book about it. Worked as an activist. Burnt out on celebrity and now lives quietly.

My friend gave me a signed copy of the book and she wrote "may your days be filled with hope" but the h looked like a d lol

I think I gave it to goodwill a few moves ago.
