If Lake Titicaca can deal with its name, Sexmoan could've stayed.
Or Dildo Canada. Or Bumpass Virginia. Gobblers Knob Pennsylvania. Just a few off the top nof my head I learned about from Reddit over the years.

The only problem with that is, according to the article, "Sexmoan" was the colonial bastardization and mispronounciation of "Sasmuan" by the Spanish.

Unlike Gropecunt Alley, which earned its name the hard way.

Hell, there's a street here in Toronto called Cummer Avenue. I'm surprised there aren't more jokes about it.

I grew up not far from a country road called "Omo" and the street sign never stayed up for very long 🤷♂️

Don't forget about Mianus in Connecticut. There's lots of things to do in Mianus.

Now i want to know what's older: the discovery and naming of Mianus or Uranus.
Karmic_Hazard t1_iy2r4yv wrote
The valley of Mianus was "discovered" in the early 1600s. Uranus was discovered on March 13, 1781.
I guess in terms of discovery, Mianus is older. But Uranus is more popular.
BrokenEye3 t1_iy2rnxe wrote
The name Uranus is definitely older, being an ancient Greek primordial sky god.
Curiously, Uranus is the only one of the planets to be named after the Greek version of a god rather than the Roman one. Uranus's Roman equivalent is called Caelus, a name wholely unlikely to inspire any lewd jokes.
