Happened about a 20 minute walk from my home.
That little pond in that park is deceptively dangerous, sadly someone in a wheelchair rolled into it and drowned. (edit due to not being sure of specifics of what directly lead to this tragic drowning).

One of my uncles did that also, albeit it was in France and like 50 years ago.
And a child died in the same pond (as for my uncle) at another uncle’s wedding (unrelated, it is a big complex).
