When they tried to add lyrics, opponents accused the national anthem of being, believe it or not, too nationalist! It sounds odd and funny (I mean if anything is going to be nationalist, it’s a national anthem, surely?!) but against the backdrop of Spanish history and its linguistic makeup, it makes sense it would controversial having lyrics in one language and not the others.

That’s one option. Another is New Zealand where it’s becoming common to sing a verse in Māori then a verse in English. Might be a bit harder with a verse in Castilian, Catalan, Galician then Basque though...

Reminds me of the Ankh Morpork anthem We Can Rule You Whole Sale where over half the lyrics are basically just "Ner ner ner ner ner ner" because no one knows their entire countries anthem.

In Canada, it's super common to have the first part be French and the second part be English.

It's just a little funny that the official "translations" aren't translations at all, and are actually two completely different songs set to the same music.

And it is even older if you consider that the music originates way back during the 800 years of Arab dominion when it was known as al-andalus original music here
