I would think so too, but it was an interesting theory....given how many blocks would have to be made and never seen on the interior....so just throw a bunch of whatever material you can find and coat it with those bricks. Plus it's not like they get a lot of rain there to eat away at it. Still something I wish I could go back and time and see how it was built. Why the hell am I getting downvoted?
