Yup! Found that out the hard way. It didn't hurt initially, but I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like my hand was on fire.

I thought the doctor was kidding when he said my entire arm had to be cast to prevent the break in a small little bone from shifting.

Fortunately it was my left hand - really hard to shift when you can't move your arm.

Usually casts immobilize the joint above and below a fracture. Did they cast your elbow, too?
