I was watching Tupac: Resurrection and Tupac starts talking about it at one point. So random.

Is this when Tupac was serving time for the gang rape?

They had a bunch of Tupac's stuff on display and there was a jail section where they showed some of his letters. It was pretty cool to see the people he interacted with

Pope Benedict XVI also made a playlist of pop songs that he believed promoted Christian values, and added Tupac to it.

Yes it is true pac said once in his interview that Tony Danza used to write him funny stuff in letters while he was locked up for a crime everyone knows is not true

Yes you can just listen to his lyrics, it's clear that he had great respect for women. Not that you should go to jail for words, but he would have gone back to prison had he not been killed. First degree sexual abuse.

Wasn’t he also supposed to get a visit from Madonna, that ultimately fell through?

Solid doc. I really like the interview with Tabitha Soren where he describes how “the song” changes over the years.

If the story from the other pov is to believed, she was lying and used the courts preference over women in situations like this to win her case

Unless you are 2pac and have risen from the dead, or you are that lady, don't assume when the facts aren't 100%

aSimpleWardrobe t1_j6i8fyb wrote

As the guy below said, America in 80s 100% didn't have a racism and police abuse problem, yesssss

Ontop of that, sexual and birth issues being favoured to the female side in courts in the west

Could have 2pac done it? Maybe, i didn't deny it, but there wasn't enough evidence due to the nature of the case (its hard to prove someone slapped your behinds when phones weren't as they are today) but the courts went ahead anyway

Not as many as people seem to think. Tupac Was a nasty piece of work. In his recent documentary, Chuck D tried but found it hard to say anything positive about him. Mediocre rapper, violent and confused human.

Considering the estimates are 2-6% of the prison population are wrongly convicted and 1% is roughly 20,000 people...estimates between 40,000 and 120,000 wrongly convicted people are behind bars. That's not an insignificant number of people.

Who didn't write letters to Tupac while he was in prison?

crackeddagger t1_j6ifao1 wrote

Tupac by all accounts was an incredibly smart man with a diversity of interests and talents. All of Tony Danza's characters were named "Tony" because he wouldn't respond to other names in scenes. What did they possibly talk about??????????

Joe Jackson (or was it ben folds) singing backup too.

After that Henry said Bill invited him to his weekly monday night football parties. then a little later finding out he was alone had him over for thanksgiving dinner with his family.

The responsibility that comes with being famous and having a platform, mostly. Also jokes, random stories... Danza just thought Tupac was a really interesting person with a story to tell so he wanted to meet him. That's pretty much it.
