Burlington's not that big, you're going to end up with a list of all 10 pizza places in Burlington.

I think you're right - we'll just have to try them all!

I've had worse duties!

I'd avoid Ken's Pizza for pizza.

Like dead owl said. Avoid Ken's Pizza. Not just for the food, the owner is garbage

If you’re looking for traditional then Marcos, And Piesanos. Wood fired then I’d say Folinos, if you’re looking for unique pizza and toppings then Ramuntos in Williston.,

Yes. Try Marco’s first. Thin crust, buttery cheese, light on the sauce. If you like that, then Marco’s is the best.

If you are going to Williston... try the new JRs. It's pretty good.

Pizza 44 is the tits. Specifically the Mickster pizza.

Kens and Ida are dogshit (mostly because they're owned by absolute dipshits), so anything other than those two.

My favorite is Pizza 44, but, honestly speaking, there's no spectacular pizza anywhere in Burlington. It ain't NY or CT, the best you'll get is a pretty decent slice.

LOL - my wife is from CT, and I LOVED the old Pizza Palace in Fairfield, run by Greeks, BTW.

Folinos is hands down the best pizza in BTV

IDA is phenomenal, but overpriced, and the service is…unique. But damn, the square pie is so delicious that I think about it on a regular basis and I only eat there once a year or so.

My go to is Folino’s, just for the pizza though, the atmosphere is nonexistent there but on the plus side it’s BYOB.

Traditional_Lab_5468 t1_j9fwqft wrote

IDK man. Ida isn't even that good IMO, especially for the price, and especially for how much of a dipshit the owner is.

Maybe it’s nostalgia but I love Manhattan Pizza. Otherwise you can’t go wrong with Verita, Flatbread, Folinos or Pizza 44.

Vermont has incredible hand crafted pies everywhere you look. The people that say it sucks are the ones buying Toni's and Papa John's. Stick to the small local businesses and you'll find great options.

PoopStainMcBaine t1_j9cmodw wrote

Maybe for some fare, but definitely not pizza. I've had some terrible pies in VT.

3

Thop51 OP t1_j9cpdz9 wrote

Agreed - my thoughts in general.

No question that there are "bad pies" out there, but the search is always fun!

2

Traditional_Lab_5468 t1_j9fwygl wrote

Eh. It has decent pizza, it's certainly not atrocious, but it's not "incredible" by any stretch. Pretty much every other state in NE has better pizza than VT does TBH.

That's not to say the pizza in VT isn't worth eating. It absolutely is, and I enjoy eating it. But that's more because pizza is great and less because VT pizza is great.

Piesanos reminds me of the pizza I loved the most in my town growing up so I go there a lot. Lots of heavy/greasy cheese and flavors like chicken bbq ranch etc. Someone did get murdered in there 2 months ago but tbh it kind of adds to the vibe and makes the pizza even tastier

Travel to Barre for the Grama’s from Pearl Street Pizza.

You might want to search the Burlington sub. There's a couple of different options in the Burlington area. Make sure to try 3 needs duff how pizza. Cheese slices for a buck. Roni slices for 2 bucks. It's only for an hour, though, and make sure to tip your pizza person.

Folinos or Ida, both really do it for me. Folinos specializes in “New Haven style,” and Ida is all about hyper-premium ingredients on a small rotating menu (expensive, but I’ve only had great experiences and amazing food there). We don’t have any really great New York style pizza, imo

cheasmite t1_j9arw1p wrote

Ida above all, expensive but the best pie you’ll ever put in your mouth hands down

There isn't any good pizza in all of Vermont. Costco is probably your best bet.
