The shitpost attempts these days are depressingly bad

The anti-vaxxers/maskers have nothing to do with all that energy anymore. Might as well make snow days the next existential threat, apparently.

For me it was more like a mile and a half in three feet of snow, though yea--could get up to five feet in a serious drift where you'd have to slowly pack it down to three feet, but I'm not quite that old, and climate change is a thing.

True story - must've been winter of 86 into 87 - we had a storm so bad that the kids from IP didn't get to NC until NOON. that was so far back in the day, when you had to listen to WIKE (MOO didn't exist) to hear school closings... good times.

i had a lot of good snow days when i was at school up there. was WIKE the moo house?

WIKE is AM radio, lol, used to be up Farrant street. We listened for school closures and away football games, otherwise it was generally old country music.

There was a house that was painted like a cow. Also it was a radio station

Yeah they got the cow statue when the steakhouse down the road closed. It used to be painted all black, then when wmoo got it they painted it black and white

Grow up and just keep your kids home if you can’t handle driving in the snow.

Kids dont need to be in person on snow days

If you feel so strongly and legitimately think they’re trying to kill your kid, call the child/children in sick.

The standards for staying home or canceling school have softened considerably since I was a kid. If you can’t handle snow then move to florida
