Temporary Incident Number T-22 19996

Please help identify this individual/suspect. He as it appears from all evidence stole my purse (LV alma BB) out of my car, in the private business parking lot on King street. this person also brought my purse to the stores that he was using my CC to buy gift cards etc. also I suspect he put on my mask that was in the purse! there was also car key, my ID, cash etc. he took it while I run into the office to drop off a few things when I came back the purse was gone. March 1, 5:00 p.m. also I suspect this perps. to been driving while impaired. Police has not got back to me yet I filed online case right after this happened.

If that purse is worth more than $900, then this appears to be grand larceny, a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison. Be sure to tell the police the value of the bag and its contents. Good luck.

Yes the purse to buy new one like that is 1700$ it even went up form when I bought it

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb20485 wrote

You left a 1700$ purse in your car in Burlington??

7

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb21g07 wrote

Yup, my bad, but still no one should go inside my car in my own office parking lot. I would not leave it if it was parking garage or street etc

−5

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb24ozx wrote

Downvote away but not sure what's worse spending $1700 on a purse or crying after getting it stolen in Burlington. TBH I would have tossed it in the river on principle.

−4

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb25rmx wrote

Not crying over the purse. This person needs to be held accountable for his actions. Also driving while impaired he’s a danger to anyone. There was also cash, credit cards, ID, car keys and other things in my purse

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb34jo8 wrote

It was 4 days ago you don't know he's impaired now. lol

13yo account says otherwise but go on.

The other acct you posted from in the burlington sub betrayed you as well. 4yo acct about 10 posts.

And you somehow know he's driving impaired. Mmm hmm. Temporary incident number is that even a thing? They gave you this number but yet not responding. Something stinks. Defunding comments NO comments for 8 years until today lol sure thing Jan...

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb2y7tr wrote

Yea because I have surveillance video of him driving off Kinney ls where he sued my cards

3

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb2yph9 wrote

They give you temporary case number online when you file a report but no in person officer has responded to the event, what would be the reason for me to make this up?

2

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb33m9w wrote

Online?? Nice try. This is suspect as hell. Sketchball acct that posted this in r/burlington as well.

−4

postmodernisthater t1_jb3r05m wrote

I 100% filed a police report online when I got into a car accident. The police themselves told me to file online 🙄

3

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb4ibtv wrote

Small fender bender sure no major injury sure but honestly tell me if someone broke into your car moments ago and took your wallet id's keys etc you would just leave that info online? She supposedly ran into work for a sec and this just happened. That's a crime in progress not for an online complaint that could take days to see. For all we know these photos are from some other state and she is stalking this dude.

−2

postmodernisthater t1_jb4prbi wrote

Filing online wouldn’t be my first choice, but it sounds like it wasn’t hers, either. She called the police and they told her to file online. They have done the same to two of my friends who had their homes broken into as well. I’m not saying her claim is accurate, but filing online is def what they tell you to do now

3

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb52lor wrote

Dude the BPD website clearly states not to do so "Theft (NOT from a house, apartment, or business by an intruder)". Nor is it for in progress crimes. Why you simping?

postmodernisthater t1_jb56q9s wrote

I’m relaying my experience.

The car theft in the OP wouldn’t be considered an in-progress crime either way.

1

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb4s5tc wrote

Huh? Try calling Burlington police and the promt says for any theft to file online I also fine in person to poly e but they didn’t have any officer to talk to in person. Go to Kinney on Shelburne rd and ask if they guy was there, I have no reason to make this up- you are delusional

3

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb528ay wrote

You couldn't reach a person in the largest city PD in the state ok sure. Around 5pm no less

−2

Twombls t1_jb5tyyq wrote

There was a dude in my back lot with a weapon that was actively breaking into cars and the cops told me to put in a police report online.

2

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb4sjez wrote

Perhaps you know who this person is and just defending him! Or perhaps it you!

5

Real-Pierre-Delecto2 t1_jb51vp7 wrote

If you were real and had participated in even a tiny amount on this sub you would know I live no where near there. No posts on this acct for 8 entire years. Chuckles.

You've never splurged on a niceity before? Since you are a redditor im sure you wouldn't bat an eye if someone spent 4k on a gaming rig. But suddenly if its a purse it deserves to be thrown in a river

Vermont isnt as safe as it used to be folks, always lock your vehicles even if it's only for a moment. Criminals see an opportunity and WILL take it.

Guy doesn't look familiar to me but I'd suggest looking on FB, people around his age range maybe? Hope you catch him 😬 Sucks nothing has a tracker on it

7

TheQueenCars t1_jb0pi4b wrote

Oh chances are he's a local, ask the gas station attendants if they've seen him before

5

TechNizza t1_jb1r9zg wrote

Totally agree!

  • Lock your vehicle and home
  • Keep protection on you, ideally more than one form (pepper spray, knife, gun, etc)
  • Let people know where you're going if possible
  • Keep a flash light on you when walking at night
  • Stay in groups or appear confident when walking alone

Stay safe out there!

Cops are unresponsive? Call the news. I suggested this on the New Hampshire reddit, they guy did it and the cops were there that day. It was a top story on WMUR the next morning.

Pretty hard lesson for OP both monetarily and hassle. Can't imagine this fuckwad having my keys and ID.

Good luck, OP.

I should call Wcax perhaps

1

TheMobyDicks t1_jb5mmq7 wrote

Absolutely yes. I'm confident they'll run the story as you have pics of the perpetrator. The funniest response to your thread was about the man bun. Made me laugh.

2

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb6l7do wrote

I call them and they in deed said they might run a story on this issue

2

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb6lb4r wrote

They would feature several peoples stories so anyone I’d encourage to call if they had similar experience

Nunudibranch t1_jb58bje wrote

It sucks that if they upgraded their cameras you would of had this guy in the bag. I’ve seen systems where you can zoom in and figure out someone’s eye color. I was so mad to see the truck photo yet the camera can’t read the plate. I’ll keep an eye out for him and that truck. I hope the police get back to you with something.

jolitabrilliant OP t1_jb5l4bf wrote

Sunoko has the license plate! But waiting on police office to get supina - police is very overwhelmed with reports so it takes a long time, they said they have two months won’t of come online reports!

How much are we willing to tolerate in Burlington? I don't even bring family to downtown when they visit anymore. The downturn over the past 5ish years is ridiculous! Time to go hard on zero tolerance enforcement.
