Wife is interviewing this week and I'll have a couple days. Want to check out some local hills rather than drop the bones on Killington or Sunapee. Dartmouth Skiway but it looks like it and Stors aren't open on Tuesday. Saskadena Six might be cause it's a holiday (at least for us and I'm hoping). Any other hills open?
Looks like the snow will be wet and heavy but Im just excited to send it.

Whaleback opens mid-afternoon on Tuesdays and then has night skiing

And it's only 15 minutes away. Pisser. Thanks! Any recommendations for lunch spots in Lebanon/WRJ where I should start? We are moving up soon and want to get a feel for the towns. I'm looking for local clubs to join: hiking, mountain biking, swimming, canoe camping

Dartmouth Skiway is a gem and about $40 for a day pass

Edit: open 9am-4pm

Heck yes. Is anybody getting a social cycling group going up there? In Austin we had a Facebook group and we'd post routes and different people would lead rides. We had Bike Curious Sundays, Saturday Morning Caffeine Cruise, Thursday Night Social (imagine 300 bar hoppers)

I wonder if anybody would have any interest in a Saturday morning coffee stop road bike ride.

The guys at the bike shop in Leb used to run a regular Sunday ride in the summer. Not sure what the current status of that group is, but there’s a whole bunch of regular rides in the area, and it’s really easy to find smaller groups, since basically everyone here rides.

UVMBA has organized rides at least once a week, Woodstock Area MTB Association also has weekly MTB and gravel rides (highly recommend the latter). Drummond Cycles in Enfield also has shop rides.

Magic mountain isn't upper valley but it's not that far. It's a lot cheaper than Killington and easily some of the best terrain south of Rt 4. It should also be prime with this southern tracking storm.

If you have a touring setup, Cardigan and Ascutney should both be pretty solid this week and are close by.
