Hello hello I will be in Vermont for the first time this week to ski at Sugarbush… will be staying in the Burlington area. Whenever I travel I like to get a bag of local roasted coffee to take home. Wondering what places you guys like in the area? Open to anywhere Burlington/Warren area or in between that’s not super far out of the way to drive. Always open to explore if it’s a cool place. Thanks guys!

Brio is best.

Carrier, Brio, Abracadabra, Vivid.
Probably in that order, though Abracadabra is harder to find in Burlington so I have less experience with them. Love Carrier though.

I don’t know if you can find Big Gear anywhere in those places but they’re out of Montpelier

As someone who avoids caffeine but is still addicted to drinking coffee black I have found Speeder and Earls has the best selection of decaf.

Awake Coffee is brewed right in Waitsfield and sold at the Sweet Spot. They are open from 10:00-2:00. Or I believe they sell it at Mehurons Supermarket

awake is total trash garbage though. so many defects and quakers per bag, and they try to sell it at specialty coffee prices

I quite like Uncommon Coffee in Essex Junction, the Sundown Decaf Blend is SOOO good. Brio is also fantastic. Vermont Coffee Company has been disappointing so I'd skip that one.

Hey! Went to brio today since this got the most upvotes! Really like the coffee! Got a bag for myself and a decaf bag to take home for my mom. Thanks for the rec!

Perhaps you are thinking of the Awake brand with the owl logo., that brand is poor quality. The Awake I am recommending is Awake Organic Coffee roasted in here Vermont. If you have any issues with their quality they would love to hear from you. awakecoffeevt@gmail.com

Former barista here, vivid and brio depending on the flavor profiles you like (brio tends to be brighter and more acidic, vivid tends to have more of a mix).
