The zoom certainly makes it look like I was closer than I really was, but yeah, even this was a bit out of my comfort zone.

One of the best ways to leaf-peep! I did it all the way to DC this weekend last year, the views are amazing.

This is a great picture!
I am looking forward to my next day trip on this lovely train. Peeping on some leaves while sipping on a nice cup of tea, with some good tunes in my headphones makes for a wonderful "me" day, away from my normal life. I like to go south to Northampton Ma and spend the two hour layover visiting shops and getting lunch before the scenic ride back north.

Hey, Tommy. How's the peepin'?

Oh yes, it’s quite lovely… it’s so slow you have plenty of time to take in the scenery! :’)

I was already out snapping photos. I figured I’d check the Amtrak app to see where it was, and it was only about 15 minutes out. Lucky for me I suppose. 🤷♂️

The folks over at r/amtrak would love this! (Especially the classic paint scheme)

Love taking this train. Wish it went up to Montreal though.

I live right near here. Noisy but I don’t mind

We're about a mile away. We certainly notice it more in the winter, but it's nothing compared to what the folks near crossings deal with.

I guess there isn't much danger as it's a train but that would definitely freak me out to be that close.
