I feel like Ludlow is gonna be a terrible place to live in a few more years. Troy Caruso bought every thing in town basically and Vail owning the mountain there's very little locally owned business in town now. But I guess that's most of Vermont overall now.

I had heard people saying oh Troy's such a great guy! He's doing good!! He's spending money here!! His words basically were that if he wanted to just make money this is the last place he'd be. Theres still just some feeling about it that I do not like and cannot shake about him. The monopoly that he has already is garbage

Troy has made a fairly large investment in every business he's bought in town and is a one of a kind guy .If ludlow is a terrible place to live in a few years it has nothing to do with him

The only investment I've seen is the new garden on 103, the new signs for his stuff, The Calcutta Express bus and bringing in migrant workers for the golf course. I used to do greens keeping under Rodney Williams when Okemo still owned the golf course. It was always local young guys and a few girls taking care of that course. Can't tell me investing in the area is bringing in new workers for less pay.

I used to work for Rod several years back as well! Good old days.

That's only a small fraction of the investment he's made. The Migrant workers are here under a very strict and expensive visa work program and they are all paid a prevailing wage much higher than what you would pay a local worker.

It sort of already is. Is this tony guy the one who bought the outback and changed the name to off the rails?

Troy Caruso is an investment banker from I believe NYC. He did buy and change the name of The Outback but also bought Sam's, Darcy's and the golf course. I want to say he owns a few more but those are the ones I can confirm.

A lot nicer spots in Ludlow to take a picture than the golf course looking at the ski area

Literally one of the most beautiful golf courses in New England. How are golf courses not beautiful?
