Playing Devil's advocate here but rust fucks cars so quickly here that inspections are needed. I would not trust the average person to ensure their car isn't a bald tire brakeless 2 ton metal death trap that is going to murder me at 70mph. This is coming from someone that has driven a ton of uninspected shitboxes here.

Itt: dumbasses who want to drive a car but not pay for maintenance. Vermont is fucking lax on this shit compared to like Canada and western Europe.
