You've missed the peak. Leaves are now falling from the trees. There's still color today (with rain), but it won't be worth it by the weekend. I'm in southern VT, presumably it's further past peak in points north.

Believe it or not I think Southern Vermont is further along. The leaves in Ludlow are pretty much gone, but I just took a drive through Mad River Valley and found the foliage much stronger.

Come visit us in Orwell! The colors are beautiful in the southern Champlain Valley right now. The more days that go by the more leaves come off, but right now we have some incredible colors.

Orwell is off 22A in the western part of Vermont. You can spend a few hours here grabbing lunch at Buxton’s Store, eating it on our beautiful town green, and then taking a short hike at Mount Independence, and important Revolutionary War historic site.

Here’s a picture of our town green this weekend: https://imgur.com/grhvtwa
