But also, are you sure it’s cheaper? I did a whole spreadsheet within the last couple of months. I compared flying out of BTV, YUL, Boston and the 3 NYC airports for a trip this December. Cheapest was always NYC, but I couldn’t find a train or other transport that made it worthwhile. Montreal was consistently the most expensive. In the end I booked from BTV, a little higher but when adding in parking and getting to/from the airport, it was well worth the difference.

Yea normally domestically flying out of BTV makes the most sense between the long car drive and parking. But I'm flying to Amsterdam and it's $1000 cheaper to fly out of Montreal and it is direct rather than connecting at NYC/DC/PHL with 5hour+ layovers

I’ve found that it is really cheap to fly out of Montreal to the following cities: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Ft. Lauderdale, anywhere in Canada.

Everywhere else it’s pretty much the same cost or cheaper to fly from BTV.

Those cities have multiple airlines servicing the routes (from YUL) which lowers the prices dramatically.

Interesting. I always include it in my searches. My last trip was to Palermo Italy and best deal was from BTV. For my upcoming trip I’m going to Tbilisi Georgia and again best deal was out of BTV. Both connect through NYC.

Yeah, BTV is definitely cheaper for the trips you mention.

But if you ever go to Paris or London, check out YUL.
