Definitely appreciating the comments. By the sound of it, Northfield will be a lovely place to live. My goal is to be no more than an hour from Burlington, I should have clarified.

Youre definitely over an hour, especially when you factor in time from the interstate to wherever you’re going in/around Burlington. Probably plan on 75 minutes in perfect weather no traffic, and at least 90 if there’s snow

It takes almost exactly an hour, more if you drive under 65, less if you drive over

Waterfront to my home when I lived there took me 55min and it's an easy drive.

It’s over an hour. I used to commute from Burlington to Northfield to teach and it always took over an hour.

You're looking in the right area, Northfield is a nice small town with a great core of business that are trying and succeeding to keep the town vibrant. It has a great Coffee house, brewery, and tap room. One of the best pizza places around. It's close to Montpelier and some major grocery stores, a good coop..

I lived there for over 15 yrs, before I had to leave to take care of family. I would move back if I could.

I commuted to Warren over Roxbury gap for 6 yrs, Burlington waterfront for 5 yrs. Then Norwich/Lebanon area for another 3 yrs. You're about 1hr to the waterfront maybe 70min in bad weather... real bad weather - who knows. Sugarbush - 30-40 min over the gap. Killington 45 - 50 min.
