Dolphins.

I've been a fan for over 50 years. My neighbor in the 60's and 70's was a guy named Charlie. He played for the undefeated 1972 Dolphins. The only team ever to go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

Charlie never went to college and signed a pro football contract right out of high school. He was a three sport star in high school. Pat Riley (the Miami Heat president) said Charlie was the best basketball player he had ever played against. Riley was a senior all-american heading off to Kentucky. Charlie was a high school freshman. Outscored Riley in both games they played against each other and locked down Riley.

He would come down to my house and play p/u basketball. He could rain in 3-pts all day long like it was nothing. He looked like he was carved from a solid block of granite. Claimed to have never lifted weights a day in his life.

The year they won the Super Bowl Charlie earned $25,000 including Super Bowl bonus. After his playing days were over, he returned to his hometown and did some coaching. He played semi-pro baseball and routinely knocked balls out of the stadium, not into the stands, out of the stadium.

Charlie worked at the city landfill as an equipment operator. He died about fifteen years ago. He was one of the nicest, sweetest most unassuming person you could ever meet. RIP Charlie.

No self respecting New Englander roots for New York teams, excepting maybe Connecticut south and west of New Haven.

As a rabid Patriots hater growing up, nothing made me happier than seeing Baby Bro Manning bury them twice.

And I'm a Cowboys fan.

Especially no one that rubbed shoulders with the Giants when they had their summer camps at St. Michael's College. No fans were created by that. Never gonna get over 18-1 apparently.

No matter the sport I pretty much just root against Boston.

Giants, as any real Vermonter should...(I heard there was a team established much later, that is slightly closer......I also heard they went 18-1 once....impressive!)

Born and raised in Vermont. Haven't ever lived anywhere else.

Cowboys. Grew up in the 90s. Loved me some PRIME TIME and Emmitt Smith.

Troy Aikman is the most overrated QB I've ever seen and I will die on that hill.

Been a pretty good life as a Cowboys fan. Yeah, they haven't won shit in almost 30 years, but they have routinely been a decent to great team for most of my life. Ill take that over being the Lions or Browns anyday of the week.

We don't talk about the Dave Campo years.

The Lions. They always suck, but I grew up in Michigan and know that next season is always the one where the plans all come together.
