We should deploy Malloy for that task, statewide.

If you put out hundreds of signs with no plan or budget for cleaning them, it's littering.

If anyone has a chicken coop with an attached run, signs are great for winterizing. We nail a bunch on the side of our run where the snow drifts in. Keeps the ladies dry, draft-free, and happy.

when I had a garden, I used to think about using 4 to make a box around tender plants that need protecting, like from wind in the spring, or frost in the fall. Use a 5th one as a roof for frost.

All the responsible candidates will see to it that their signs are collected privately before the time limit. The taxpayers then have to pay crews of state highway workers to go around and pick up what irresponsible, selfish candidates, like that Malloy clown, leaves behind.

Fiscally responsible my a**

One of his donors is a sign company. He didn’t pay a thing for those signs so to him it’s not NOT fiscally responsible.

But yeah that’s how it goes. I’m a bit on the fence about Zuckerman but one of my closest friends used to work for him and I was recruited many times to spruce up old signs that he had saved for multiple election cycles. I remember cleaning yard signs and cutting carrots for him to hand out during parades lol

He might be getting off cheap, but wasting state highway crew's time having to drive around the state picking up your thousands of signs for a few days is 100% not fiscally responsible.

Being obnoxious by putting out thousands more signs than you needed, but don't plan to collect is also, again, not fiscally responsible considering that this will just waste more taxpayer money.

Right, I’m just saying why HE doesn’t think it’s irresponsible, because it’s not harming him.

Yup, pretty typical of the deplorable faction to only think of themselves unfortunately.

Well, it happens every two years so I wouldn’t worry about it.

The law says candidates need to pick up all signs within 24 hours.

In and around Randolph today the only signs left were Malloy and Klar. Illegally placed in the first place, most of them have been removed by VT Trans at least once (yet Klar blamed “crazy liberals”) already. As of 3pm they were still there.

Meanwhile all of the Democratic candidates signs were removed and calls put on Facebook, front porch forum, etc to remind folks who may not know the law to take the signs down and reach out if they need someone to come get them, to be re-used next election. I for one am so glad these are the people that swept the state last night, a state that claims to care about the environment.

Update. As of 8am school drop off Klar and Malloy signs still littering Randolph.

Does anyone know where they live? Collect a bunch of signs, drop them in their driveways. Ya know, like you do with misplaced dog doo.

These plastic signs… I just plain disapprove. I guess we all just pick a few up, and give them as gifts this holiday season. Because nothing seems to matter anymore. Sorry, but yeah, I’ve picked up one so far.

I was out yesterday and lines of Malloy's signs were still out from Georgia to St. Albans.

Hey Maea Brandt, it's been almost a month since the election, pickup your signs!

oldbeardedtech t1_ivtwt2u wrote

Partisan bickering aside, most VT candidates (of all parties) do a excellent job quickly retrieving the signs.

Just because you think there is no performance gap doesn’t mean there isn’t. This year in particular we clearly have a saturation-bombing candidate who happens to be from one particular party and whether/when all those signs will be picked up remains to be seen. For that matter the longer they’re up the greater chance people sick of looking at them will take them down, not GOP. So no, no ‘bOTh SIDes!’ sitch here. If you individually or as a party cared enough they’d be down by now.

Ok troll....going by your recent posts, I get you want to keep the political shit-stirring going.

Anecdotally I can tell you on my quick walk with the dog around the block, all the Malloy, Zuckerman, Benning, Mulvaney Stanek signs have been removed other than a few lone Prop 2 signs, but you keep being a "it's not both sides....my team is better" cunt.

Takes one to know one guy. When you find a Democratic spammer like Malloy let me know. Until then he and the GOP have the titles. That you consider it partisan is on you. Maybe logic is like the COVID vaccine in that you’re never going to get it…

Every two years they go out and every two years they get picked up. Never been an issue before, probably won’t be an issue this year. Give it a few days bud
