It’s no joke. Currently in Indiana and the temps dropped 40 degrees in 30 minutes when it hit - same storm front. Keep warm.

I was lucky that my job shut down at noon for everyone's safety. Came home and there was debris all over my road. Lots of branches and roof tiles. We lost a bunch of siding, but I was able to pick it up and put it in the garage until we can put it back up. Very small leak in the basement and another one above our slider doors which has never happened before. Glad we invested in a seamless steel roof last year. Our old roof would not have survived. Could have been much worse overall. Looks like most of my neighbors have similar damage.

All our neighbors in my small NEK town have power but three of us on one side of the street don't... they're saying it could be days before it's back on (minimum more than 24 hours). I don't have much in terms of ability to heat my house without electricity. And I forgot to buy a 30amp generator cable when I bought my generator last month. I'm not sure what to do at this point. The flash hasn't started yet but when it does I don't think my little propane stove will be able to combat it.

I can't remember a storm quite like this. It was 50 degrees at noon, and pouring rain. Then the sun came out briefly. An hour ago, there were 30 mph winds and snow. Tomorrow it'll be about 15. I lost Internet for about 2 hours and power for 10 minutes, and yet my TV antenna managed to have perfect reception (usually with 20 mph winds, reception is spotty).

Thunder, close lightning strikes and hard snow around 6:30 this evening in the NEK. Now we have about 5-6” on the ground.

I ended up driving about 120 miles at 200 am. Interstate was ok if you kept it as 50 to 60. Best part was not much traffic

Crazy. It’s 42° @ 3:25.. if I remember I’ll edit this with a 4:30 update.
5:17 edit: 35°, freezing rain and looks like it’s gonna keep droppin
6:48 edit: 30° and blustery with about 2” of accumulation
8:25 edit: 28° no wind with 3” + with steady snow.
